1. How to Visit Lotte World in Seoul

Over the years I had always been fascinated by Lotte World after seeing so many photos and videos online of the indoor and outdoor theme park located in the middle of Seoul, complete with its own Disney-like castle. I really wanted to visit Lotte World when I travelled to South Korea for the first time in September this year but sadly did not have enough time during our short stay. However when we unexpectedly had to stay in Seoul for three extra nights, I knew I had to jump at the opportunity to go and as someone who loves visiting theme parks around the world, it was unlike anywhere I had ever been before. 2. How to Visit all Four Walt Disney World Parks in One Day

Despite loving everything Disney, I rarely visit any of the Walt Disney World parks in Florida which always seems to surprise some people – in fact before this trip in May 2019, my last visit was all the way back in 2015. It’s not that I do not enjoy Walt Disney World but it’s so expensive for what it is. Life is too short and I would rather spend my time and money visiting other countries and new places around the world and experiencing other cultures rather than go on holiday to the same place year in and year out. 3. What Does a Closed Hong Kong Disneyland Look Like?

Last month it was announced that both Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland would both close for the foreseeable future to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. I had originally planned to visit Hong Kong Disneyland last week when I was in the city for work to renew my Magic Access annual pass. However I decided to visit the resort just to be able to see what a closed Hong Kong Disneyland looks like with no one else around. How could a place that I’m so used to seeing full of people suddenly be so empty? (more…)

  4. Disney Character Egg Hunt – Hong Kong Disneyland

Every year during Spring over a hundred different Disney character themed Easter Eggs appear across Hong Kong Disneyland Resort as part of the Carnivale of Stars event. Easter and Springtime are two of my favourite times to visit Hong Kong Disneyland as the decor is beautiful and it’s before the hot and humid summer weather arrives. (more…)

  5. Staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel in a Grand Park View Room

I had always wanted to stay at the beautiful Tokyo Disneyland Hotel since I first saw it being built and always wondered what it would be like to stay there.  Fast forward to this year when we visited Tokyo Disney Resort for four nights for my birthday and decided to not only book the Hotel MiraCosta for two nights but also the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for the rest of our stay. (more…)

  6. Staying at the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta in a Porto Paradiso Harbor View Room

It had been a dream of mine to stay at the beautiful Hotel MiraCosta at Tokyo DisneySea since the very first time I visited the park back in 2008. Who would not want to stay at a hotel that is located entirely inside the best Disney park in the world? When we visited Japan last month and spent four days at Tokyo Disney Resort, we decided to book a Harbor View room at the Hotel MiraCosta for two nights of our stay. Yes it was expensive and more than I’ve ever paid for a hotel room in my life, but if you cannot treat yourself for your birthday, when can you? (more…)

  7. Shanghai Disneyland Planning Guide

As you have probably already guessed if you’ve read my blog, I love visiting all the Disney parks around the world and Shanghai Disneyland which opened in June 2016 is no exception. Since my first visit during opening week, I have visited several more times since and finally returned to Shanghai Disneyland once again this week in October 2023 after many years of not being able to visit China – we all know what happened there! So many people have asked me various questions about the park over the years so I decided to list all the tips, tricks, help, advice and handy need-to-know (as well as up to date and current) information that I can think of in one place. I really hope that this blog will help anyone who is planning a trip to Shanghai. (more…)

  8. Snoopy’s World – New Town Plaza, Sha Tin, Hong Kong

After my visit earlier this year to the Charlie Brown Cafe in Hong Kong, I knew that next on my list of places to visit would be Snoopy’s World – a small “theme park” located in the New Territories on top of the New Town Plaza shopping mall in Sha Tin.  The best thing about Snoopy’s World is that it is completely free of charge to visit. (more…)

  9. A Trip to Shanghai Disneytown

In June this year, I was finally on my way to China to visit Shanghai Disneyland. The only thing that was not looking good was that the weather whilst I was in Shanghai was forecast to be 90% rain and thunderstorms for the whole time I was there. Still I was looking on the bright side and was just excited to be visiting so soon after the Grand Opening of the park the previous week. (more…)
