1. Visiting Tai O Fishing Village in Hong Kong

    Tai O is a small fishing village located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong and has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. Given the amount of times I’ve been to Hong Kong, I’m embarrassed it has taken me this long to visit but each time I planned to go, the weather was never on my side. However given the current situation in Hong Kong, I have recently had to stay close to the airport (which is much closer to Tai O) on each of my trips instead of on Hong Kong Island. Thankfully I have still been able to do everything I always do in Hong Kong and last week, I finally visited Tai O – and the weather was perfect which made the day even better and worth the wait.   5. The Lamma Island Family Trail – Hong Kong

    Despite visiting Hong Kong more times than I can remember over the years, I had never visited Lamma Island until September this year.  Lamma Island is only located 3km from Hong Kong Island but is a world away from the Hong Kong we all know due to the fact it has no cars, no high buildings and a very small population.  I discovered that there is an easy hike called the Family Trail between the two towns of Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan so I made my plan to visit.
