1. The Best View at Aulani – A Tour of our Oceanview Hotel Room

Staying at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa located in Ko Olina on the island of Oahu in Hawaii really was a dream come true for me. We had originally booked to stay at Aulani back in 2020 which as we know did not happen so I was excited when we could eventually rebook for our rescheduled trip in 2022. After waiting for what felt like forever to get there, it was truly perfect and everything we could gave hoped for when we finally began our Hawaiian adventure that we had looked forward to for so long. 2. The Amazing Jurassic Adventure Tour at Kualoa Ranch

When I was younger I always remember watching movies such as Jurassic Park and George of the Jungle and seeing the amazing scenery in the background and wondering if it was real and if it was, where this incredible place was. The answer it turns out is the 4000 acre Kualoa Ranch located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii known as “Hawaii’s Hollywood Backlot”. For so many years I dreamed of visiting Kualoa Ranch never knowing when that day would arrive but in May 2022 this year (two years later than originally planned) it finally happened. (more…)

  3. How to Hike Diamond Head in Honolulu

Hiking up the Diamond Head Crater Trail (known as Lē’ahi in Hawaiian) at sunrise in Honolulu had been on my Hawaii must do list for many years. Diamond Head is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Oahu and hiking to the top for an incredible view of the city and Waikiki Beach is one of the most popular things to do whilst in Honolulu. 4. A Complete Guide to Staying at Aulani in Hawaii

Earlier this year we finally travelled to Hawaii and stayed at Aulani (one of our bucket list hotels) after our original trip was cancelled in 2020 (we all know what happened there) and I am happy to say that we had an incredible time. So much has changed since we first planned our stay a few years ago so I decided to write this blog and travel guide with all of the up to date information, do’s and don’ts as well as hints, tips and advice and anything else I can think of to help make the most of your stay at the paradise that is Aulani. 5. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day Five – Nawiliwili, Kauai

On the second day of our overnight stay in the Port of Nawiliwili on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, I woke up feeling great after having the best and longest night’s sleep of the trip so far. As I had sadly lost our game of basketball the night before, it was my job to go and get the tea from the drink station on Deck 9 which we drank whilst sitting on our verandah. It was such a beautiful morning and as we sat talking we also realised that neither of us had any idea what day of week it was which was such a great sign as it meant we were truly enjoying every minute of our time in Hawaii and had been able to completely switch off and forget about the outside world. (more…)

  6. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day Four – Nawiliwili, Kauai

A week after we arrived in Hawaii for the very first time, we were finally getting used to the time difference and were sleeping much better. It felt great to be able to have a much needed lay in on this day and have a lazier start to the morning as we were not due to dock in Nawiliwili on the island of Kauai until 10:00am. It was also noticable that there had been a lot less movement on the ship overnight compared to the previous few days which was very welcome. (more…)

  7. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day Three – Hilo, Hawaii

On the third day of our Disney Wonder cruise, I woke up just after 6:00am ready for our day in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Due to our long day in Maui the day before, I had slept well despite there being a lot of movement on the ship overnight. After having a cup of tea and getting dressed, we walked up to a busy Cabanas and enjoyed our breakfast with a view of Hilo Harbor as we were docking. It looked to be the start of a beautiful day outside with both blue and grey skies surrounding us. (more…)

  8. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day Two – Kahului, Maui

Despite having a very long day when we boarded the Disney Wonder for our long awaited Hawaiian cruise in Honolulu the previous day, I still managed to wake up like clockwork in the middle of the night due to the eleven hour time difference that was still affecting me after nearly a week in Hawaii. (more…)

  9. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day One – Honolulu

Once upon a time I never even imagined that this day would arrive but here I was waking up at Aulani in Hawaii ready to board the beautiful Disney Wonder for our long awaited cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and across the Pacific Ocean to Vancouver. (more…)
