1. Disney Wonder Very Merrytime Cruise: Day Seven – At Sea

On our last full day onboard the Disney Wonder, I woke up just after 8:00am which was late compared to most other days onboard. The first thing that was immediately obvious was that the ship was rolling from side to side so we knew that we had encountered the bad weather that had been forecast the day before. (more…)

  2. Disney Wonder Very Merrytime Cruise: Day Six – At Sea

After three port days, it was a great feeling when I woke up just after 8:00am that we now had two sea days to enjoy before arriving back into Galveston. When I walked up to Deck 9 to get tea, the outside decks were still very empty at this time so I guessed everyone was having a lazy morning and a lay-in after a late evening the night before when the Pirates IN the Caribbean fireworks had taken place. 3. Disney Wonder Very Merrytime Cruise: Day Two – At Sea

After a good night’s sleep, I woke up just before 7:00am and it was a wonderful feeling for the first time in a busy week to know that we did not have to do anything on this day if we did not want to. It was a beautiful morning and walking out onto the verandah and hearing the waves whilst getting that morning hit of fresh sea air felt amazing. (more…)

  4. Disney Dream Halloween on the High Seas Cruise: Day Four – At Sea

Once again after not enough sleep, I woke up early about 06:30am. I wish I could have slept in later as I knew that the following morning when we disembarked would be another early start. Today was our last full day onboard and we were going to be at sea for the whole day. A better description would be that we were going to floating around like a cork with minimal engine power close to Freeport for the majority of the day before finally heading back towards Port Canaveral in the evening. (more…)

  5. Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise: Day Ten – At Sea

I woke up once again very early on what was to be our final day at sea. The first thing that was immediately noticeable when going out onto our verandah was how humid it was outside – a clear sign that we were getting closer to the Bahamas and Florida. We decided to go to Lumiere’s as it would be our last chance to have breakfast there since we would be arriving at Castaway Cay the next day and would only want something quick to eat before disembarking. (more…)

  6. Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise: Day Nine – At Sea

It was once again another early start as I woke up at 5:30am. Thankfully I was able to fall back asleep after a little while and when I woke up again, it was 8:30am – much better as it was due to be a long day as the Pirates in the Caribbean fireworks would be happening in the evening. When I went out to our balcony, it was grey and miserable outside and for the first time this cruise, it started to rain. (more…)

  7. Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise: Day Eight – At Sea

Once again I was awake at 6:30am so instead of trying to go back to sleep, I decided to go for a walk around Deck 10. What I was not expecting to see at this time was people already saving sun loungers around the Cove Pool. I knew that we kept on seeing the same people frying themselves redder and redder every day but this was ridiculous. (more…)

  8. Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise: Day Seven – At Sea

Every day on this cruise, I was waking up earlier and earlier – a side effect of having twenty five hour days. I’m not complaining though as I do not want to begin to imagine how much more difficult the Eastbound Transatlantic cruises are when you lose an hour each day. There was no chance of me falling back asleep so after looking out of the window and seeing the start of a beautiful sunrise, I pulled my hoody on over my pyjamas, grabbed my camera and headed up to Deck 10. (more…)

  9. Disney Magic Transatlantic Cruise: Day Five – At Sea

I am not a morning person in general and usually need to set at least several alarm clocks when I have an early start so the fact that I was waking up every day before 7:00am before the alarm went off was really confusing my brain. I definitely was not complaining though as I would much rather have the twenty five hour days that the Westbound Transatlantic cruises have any day over the twenty three hour days in the other direction.
