1. The Costa Concordia From the Air

    This afternoon whilst flying from Nairobi back to London, I was very fortunate it was a gorgeous clear day whilst flying along the Italian coast. Just after Rome we passed over the island of Giglio where six months ago to this day, the Costa Concordia capsized and partially sank after hitting rocks whilst sailing past the island after leaving the port of Civitavecchia. Six months ago today was also Friday the 13th – spooky, no?

    I still can’t believe how clearly you could see the ship from so high up in the air which goes to show how large these cruise liners actually are! Here are some of the photos I took this afternoon from 36000 feet high!
