1. How to Survive a US Road Trip

Some people love road trips whilst some people do not. I’ll admit that I’m one of those people who loves being out on the open road. After going on a number of “epic road trips” around different parts of the US and Canada in the last few years, I can easily say that there is definitely something amazing about the freedom of being able to see so much of a country that you might not have been able to see otherwise. 2. How to Get From Hong Kong Island to Hong Kong Disneyland

I never thought I would write this blog post as I have always thought that getting to Hong Kong Disneyland from Hong Kong Island was incredibly simple and did not need explaining. Recently however, many people have asked me to give them directions of how to do the journey or asked me if it is easy to do. Therefore two weeks ago whilst I was in Hong Kong, I took some photos during the journey to Hong Kong Disneyland. (more…)

  3. How to Get From Copenhagen Airport to Malmö by Train

When we visited Copenhagen for my birthday in October, we took the first flight in the morning from Heathrow as we always do whenever we fly somewhere in Europe. As we landed so early into Denmark, we decided that the only thing to do was to get the train from the airport across the Oresund Bridge to Malmö so we could both tick Sweden off on our list of countries we have visited. 4. How to Get From Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet by Train

Before I travelled to Istanbul in December, I spent some time trying to research how to get the train from Atatürk Airport to Sultanahmet where we would be staying. Unfortunately I only found a few websites from searching on Google and none of them were remotely helpful – way too much pointless information on them. (more…)

  5. How to Do Athens in a Day

When I started researching places to visit on my trip to Athens in March this year, I was immediately surprised by how close all the big tourist sights were to each other – I had expected them to be spread out over a much larger area. As we had two full days in Athens, we were able to spread our sightseeing out and have more time to relax but we could have easily seen all the main sights in one day had we wanted to. (more…)

  6. How to do Cinque Terre in a Day

If you have ever read any other of my blog posts you will know how much I hate organised tours. Why pay so much more money when travelling than is needed when you can experience the same and usually more by touring independently. I first became aware of Cinque Terre after seeing photos of those five beautiful villages online. Some people might say that it is impossible to see Cinque Terre in a day but I am not one of them. (more…)

  7. How to Buy Train Tickets in Italy

In December I travelled to Pisa in Italy for a short break before Christmas. There is not much to do in Pisa apart from climb the Leaning Tower but just an easy train ride away is Cinque Terre – somewhere I had always wanted to visit from the first time I saw that iconic photo of the village of Manarola. (more…)

  8. How to Get to Featherdale Wildlife Park – Sydney, Australia

Last week whilst in Sydney, I finally had the opportunity to visit Featherdale Wildlife Park. It is somewhere where I’ve wanted to go to for several years now and never have had the time before now. Even though I have visited Taronga Zoo before which is much closer to the city centre, I wanted to be able to see some koalas up close as well as feed the kangaroos! (more…)

  9. How to Get to the Mendenhall Glacier – Juneau, Alaska

If visiting Juneau in Alaska then a trip to Mendenhall Glacier will more than likely be on your list of places to visit whilst there. There is usually the option of an organised tour which will always work out more expensive than touring independently. (more…)
